Anchor Bay Tile - Ceramic and Glass Tiles

Tiling a Bathtub Surround

I spent a large portion of my holiday weekend doing this:

And then I realized I had made several grave errors.

I tried to tell myself that it didn’t really matter. But it did. It bothered me every time I looked at it.

And so I tore about 1/3 of the tile off the wall and scraped the thinset off the wall and backs of the tiles.

This coming weekend? Back to the drawing board, or more accurately, the wall board.

The picture you have shown, I can’t see any errors. Are you feeling up to sharing? I am about to embark on tiling our kitchen and am trying to learn as much as I can.

I am a perfectionist with our house renovations so I understand. When something does not go right, even when everyone else thinks it is fine, I just have to do it again. The end result is worth it though.

That is because I am not showing the section that was not right. Maybe after I finish fixing it I will do a before and after photo.
